Summary of Position:
|
Reporting to the Team Leader, Process Engineering, the incumbent is responsible for the introduction of new models/technology and the maintenance of current models, focusing on continuous cost and quality improvements and day to day shop floor support.
v Provide manufacturing engineering support in developing processes and the procurement of equipment, tooling and fixtures.
v Identify and implement actions to improve quality, reduce costs, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
v Lead internal & external 8D's ensuring root cause is identified and permanent corrective actions implemented.
v Documentation of processes - PMEA's. Process Flow Charts, Process Specifications
v Work with manufacturing in carrying out production objectives, at lowest cost, consistent with the organization’s quality requirements (i.e.: on-line troubleshooting, QS 9000 documentation)
v Interact with other pertinent departments as required
v Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
v Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering degree with 3-5 years manufacturing experience.
OR
v Technological Diploma/Apprenticeship experience with 8-10 years progressive manufacturing experience.
v Excellent organizational and communication skills

v Experience with equipment & fixture design
